No matter what bill your looking at, chances are your seeing increases each and every month. I know I am when I get my energy bill. Energy prices are ridiculous and they are getting worse! In fact, industry experts say that the price of electricity has been rising over the last decade, jumping by double digits in many states. Residential electricity prices shot up 30% in recent years, adjusted for inflation, according to Energy Department figures. Experts in the state’s energy markets project the price could jump an additional 47% over the next 15 years! Not the news any of us want to hear. Because of the price of energy skyrocketing, many of us are trying to do anything we can to save. If you’re looking for a way to be green and save money for your home or business, Roberts -McNutt can help!

Solar is a great way to save on those monthly, out of control; energy bills. In mid 2011, we launched our new solar division. As a solar integrator, Roberts-McNutt offers photo-voltaic (PV) solar panels, thermal solar, solar design services, and turn-key installation of residential solar systems and commercial solar systems. Solar panels are extremely important to saving you electricity, preserving your hard-earned money, and protecting the planet. Our solar panels use the sun (which is FREE) to produce free energy! STOP shelling out big bucks to the energy companies!

Here’s how it all works. Solar Electric or Photovoltaic (PV) systems convert light into electricity. For FREE! This is accomplished by using a thin layer of semi-conducting material, enclosed in a glass or plastic casing. A PV system is a balanced mixture of three variables – current electric use, availability of space on the roof and budget. Our panels are simple, reliable and fully automatic. First, sunlight strikes the panels, stimulates electrons and creates DC electricity. An inverter is used to convert this electricity AC current which is then wired to your existing electric panel. Electricity then flows to appliances and various outlets as needed and excess electricity feeds back to the grid/utility.

Regardless of the size of your home or business, Roberts-McNutt’s commercial solar contractors will design a system to meet your building and companies needs. Our panels will HELP you SAVE money on your energy bills. It’s as simple as that!
